IT IS OUTRAGEOUS THAT CERTAIN, SELECT PRISONERS CAN BE NOT ONLY HELD INCOMMUNICADO, SO THAT EVEN THEIR ATTORNEYS CANNOT CONTACT THEM, BUT THAT THEY CAN BE HELD INDEFINITELY. BRADLEY MANNING HAS BEEN IN NERVE-WRACKING SOLITARY CONFINEMENT, SUBJECTED TO HUMILIATION, DEPRIVED OF HIS CLOTHING EVERY NIGHT, HAS NO BLANKET OR PILLOW, IS GOING TO BE CHARGED, NO DOUBT, WITH TREASON.I CONSIDER HOW LEE HARVEY OSWALD WAS TREATED, AND ASK ALL READERS TO DEMAND THAT LAWYERS AND FRIENDS HAVE ACCESS TO MANNING, THAT CLOTHING 24 HOURS A DAY BE PROVIDED FOR MANNING, AND THAT THOSE WHO CRITICIZE THE GOVERNMENT --SUCH AS P.J. CROWLEY,WILL NOT BE FORCED TO RESIGN FOR SATING THE OBVIOUS. WEAKILEAKS GETS QUOTED AGAIN AND AGAIN WHEN CRISES OCCUR. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE WORLD IS IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE,WHERE, BEFORE, WAS ONLY DARKNESS. ONLY A FEW COMPANIES OWN MOST OF THE COMMUNICATIONS OUTLETS AND MEDIA GIANTS NOW. WHEN ALL DISSENT IS QUASHED, WHAT COMES NEXT?
Washington (CNN) -- P.J. Crowley abruptly resigned Sunday as State Department spokesman over controversial comments he made about the Bradley Manning case. Sources close to the matter said the resignation, first reported by CNN, came under pressure from the White House, where officials were furious about his suggestion that the Obama administration is mistreating Manning, the Army private who is being held in solitary confinement in Quantico, Virginia, under suspicion that he leaked highly classified State Department cables to the website WikiLeaks. Speaking to a small group at MIT last week, Crowley was asked about allegations that Manning is being tortured and kicked up a firestorm by answering that what is being done to Manning by Defense Department officials "is ridiculous and counterproductive and stupid." Crowley did add that "nonetheless, Bradley Manning is in the right place" because of his alleged crimes, according to a blog post by BBC reporter Philippa Thomas, who was present at Crowley's talk. "The unauthorized disclosure of classified information is a serious crime under U.S. law," Crowley said in a statement Sunday. "My recent comments regarding the conditions of the pre-trial detention of Private First Class Bradley Manning were intended to highlight the broader, even strategic impact of discreet actions undertaken by national security agencies every day and their impact on our global standing and leadership. "The exercise of power in today's challenging times and relentless media environment must be prudent and consistent with our laws and values," Crowley said. "Given the impact of my remarks, for which I take full responsibility, I have submitted my resignation." Crowley has told friends that he is deeply concerned that mistreatment of Manning could undermine the legitimate prosecution of the young private. Crowley has also made clear he has the Obama administration's best interests at heart because he thinks any mistreatment of Manning could be damaging around the world to President Obama, who has tried to end the perception that the United States tortures prisoners. Nevertheless, Crowley's political fate was sealed Friday when Obama was asked at a White House news conference about his comments regarding Manning. Obama revealed that he had asked Pentagon officials "whether or not the procedures that have been taken in terms of (Manning's) confinement are appropriate and are meeting our basic standards." In a comment that drew howls of protest from liberals, Obama added that Pentagon officials "assure me that they are. I can't go into details about some of their concerns, but some of this has to do with Private Manning's safety as well." Manning's treatment has become a flashpoint for liberals, with Amnesty International noting he has been confined to a windowless cell for 23 hours a day, is stripped down to his boxers at night and is not given pillows or blankets. Manning's lawyer also says the young private recently had to sleep in the nude because defense officials thought there was a suicide threat and decided to take away his boxer shorts. Crowley is highly respected on foreign policy matters, dating back to his time as National Security Council spokesman under then-President Bill Clinton. He has been the Obama administration's public face on many international stories as the daily briefer at the State Department for Secretary Hillary Clinton. But he has not had a completely smooth relationship with officials in the Obama White House, and eyebrows were raised several months ago when White House aide Mike Hammer was sent over to the State Department to serve as Crowley's deputy. A senior White House official stressed that Crowley's exit was in the works for months and said the MIT incident only "hastened that departure." "Everybody likes P.J. This was more a situation where it wasn't the right fit," said the official, noting there were times when Crowley wasn't on the same page as Clinton, let alone the White House. Hammer will replace Crowley as the assistant secretary for public affairs, Clinton said in a statement Sunday. She said she accepted Crowley's resignation "with regret." "P.J. has served our nation with distinction for more than three decades, in uniform and as a civilian," she said. "His service to country is motivated by a deep devotion to public policy and public diplomacy, and I wish him the very best." A little-known factor in Crowley's comments about Manning was revealed Saturday by April Ryan, a White House correspondent for American Urban Radio who covered Crowley in the Clinton White House. Ryan wrote on Twitter that Crowley "dislikes treatment of prisoners as his father was a Prisoner of War." While it's true that Crowley's father was imprisoned during World War II, people close to him downplay that as a major factor in his comments about Manning, saying the biggest factor is simply that Crowley believes what he said. In his statement, Crowley said he leaves with "great admiration and affection" for his colleagues and "deep respect for the journalists who report on foreign policy and global developments every day, in many cases under dangerous conditions and subject to serious threats. Their efforts help make governments more responsible, accountable and transparent."
NOBODY GIVES VOLTAIRE THE CREDIT FOR SAYING,"I DISAPPROVE OF WHAT YOU SAY, BUT I WILL DEFEND TO THE DEATH YOUR RIGHT TO SAY IT."
I DON'T CARE WHO SAID IT --I AGREE COMPLETELY. AND THUS I STAND BEHIND MICHAEL MOORE'S DECISION TO HELP RELEASE JULIAN ASSANGE FROM SOLITARY CONFINEMENT 'FOR HIS PROTECTION' WHILE AWAITING SPURIOUS 'RAPE' CHARGES IN SWEDEN DESIGNED TO EXTRADITE HIM INTO U.S. HANDS.
SECRECY IS THE STUFF OF WAR! ABRIDGMENT OF FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS ALL TOO COMMON. I APPLAUD MOORE'S STANCE.
>HERE'S WHAT MICHAEL MOORE HAS TO SAY ABOUT HIS DECISION: I HAVE PLACED IN BOLD FACE HIS MOST IMPORTANT STATEMENTS.
Why I'm Posting Bail Money for Julian Assange
By Michael Moore
December 14, 2010 "Information Clearing House" -- Yesterday, in the Westminster Magistrates Court in London, the lawyers for WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange presented to the judge a document from me stating that I have put up $20,000 of my own money to help bail Mr. Assange out of jail.
Furthermore, I am publicly offering the assistance of my website, my servers, my domain names and anything else I can do to keep WikiLeaks alive and thriving as it continues its work to expose the crimes that were concocted in secret and carried out in our name and with our tax dollars.
We were taken to war in Iraq on a lie. Hundreds of thousands are now dead. Just imagine if the men who planned this war crime back in 2002 had had a WikiLeaks to deal with. They might not have been able to pull it off.The only reason they thought they could get away with it was because they had a guaranteed cloak of secrecy. That guarantee has now been ripped from them, and I hope they are never able to operate in secret again.
So why is WikiLeaks, after performing such an important public service, under such vicious attack? Because they have outed and embarrassed those who have covered up the truth. The assault on them has been over the top:
**Sen. Joe Lieberman says WikiLeaks "has violated the Espionage Act."
**The New Yorker's George Packer calls Assange "super-secretive, thin-skinned, [and] megalomaniacal."
**Sarah Palin claims he's "an anti-American operative with blood on his hands" whom we should pursue "with the same urgency we pursue al Qaeda and Taliban leaders."
**Democrat Bob Beckel (Walter Mondale's 1984 campaign manager) said about Assange on Fox: "A dead man can't leak stuff ... there's only one way to do it: illegally shoot the son of a bitch."
**Republican Mary Matalin says "he's a psychopath, a sociopath ... He's a terrorist."
**Rep. Peter A. King calls WikiLeaks a "terrorist organization."
And indeed they are! They exist to terrorize the liars and warmongers who have brought ruin to our nation and to others. Perhaps the next war won't be so easy because the tables have been turned -- and now it's Big Brother who's being watched ... by us!
WikiLeaks deserves our thanks for shining a huge spotlight on all this.
But some in the corporate-owned press have dismissed the importance of WikiLeaks ("they've released little that's new!") or have painted them as simple anarchists ("WikiLeaks just releases everything without any editorial control!").
WikiLeaks exists, in part, because the mainstream media has failed to live up to its responsibility. The corporate owners have decimated newsrooms, making it impossible for good journalists to do their job. There's no time or money anymore for investigative journalism. Simply put, investors don't want those stories exposed. They like their secrets kept ... as secrets.
I ask you to imagine how much different our world would be if WikiLeaks had existed 10 years ago. Take a look at this photo.
That's Mr. Bush about to be handed a "secret" document on August 6th, 2001. Its heading read: "Bin Ladin Determined To Strike in US." And on those pages it said the FBI had discovered "patterns of suspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for hijackings." Mr. Bush decided to ignore it and went fishing for the next four weeks.
But if that document had been leaked, how would you or I have reacted? What would Congress or the FAA have done? Was there not a greater chance that someone, somewhere would have done something if all of us knew about bin Laden's impending attack using hijacked planes?
But back then only a few people had access to that document. Because the secret was kept, a flight school instructor in San Diego who noticed that two Saudi students took no interest in takeoffs or landings, did nothing. Had he read about the bin Laden threat in the paper, might he have called the FBI? (Please read this essay by former FBI Agent Coleen Rowley, Time's 2002 co-Person of the Year, about her belief that had WikiLeaks been around in 2001, 9/11 might have been prevented. SEE BELOW: JVB)
Or what if the public in 2003 had been able to read "secret" memos from Dick Cheney as he pressured the CIA to give him the "facts" he wanted in order to build his false case for war? If a WikiLeaks had revealed at that time that there were, in fact, no weapons of mass destruction, do you think that the war would have been launched -- or rather, wouldn't there have been calls for Cheney's arrest?
Openness, transparency -- these are among the few weapons the citizenry has to protect itself from the powerful and the corrupt. What if within days of August 4th, 1964 -- after the Pentagon had made up the lie that our ship was attacked by the North Vietnamese in the Gulf of Tonkin -- there had been a WikiLeaks to tell the American people that the whole thing was made up? I guess 58,000 of our soldiers (and 2 million Vietnamese) might be alive today.
Instead, secrets killed them.
For those of you who think it's wrong to support Julian Assange because of the sexual assault allegations he's being held for, all I ask is that you not be naive about how the government works when it decides to go after its prey.
Please -- never, ever believe the "official story."
And regardless of Assange's guilt or innocence (see the strange nature of the allegations here), this man has the right to have bail posted and to defend himself. I have joined with filmmakers Ken Loach and John Pilger and writer Jemima Khan in putting up the bail money -- and we hope the judge will accept this and grant his release today.
Might WikiLeaks cause some unintended harm to diplomatic negotiations and U.S. interests around the world? Perhaps. But that's the price you pay when you and your government take us into a war based on a lie. Your punishment for misbehaving is that someone has to turn on all the lights in the room so that we can see what you're up to. You simply can't be trusted. So every cable, every email you write is now fair game. Sorry, but you brought this upon yourself. No one can hide from the truth now. No one can plot the next Big Lie if they know that they might be exposed.
And that is the best thing that WikiLeaks has done. WikiLeaks, God bless them, will save lives as a result of their actions. And any of you who join me in supporting them are committing a true act of patriotism. Period.
I stand today in absentia with Julian Assange in London and I ask the judge to grant him his release. I am willing to guarantee his return to court with the bail money I have wired to said court. I will not allow this injustice to continue unchallenged.
P.S. You can read the statement I filed today in the London court here.

THE ESSAY ABOUT 9/11, WIKILEAKS, AND FBI AGENT ROWLEY:
WikiLeaks and 9/11: What if? Frustrated investigators might have chosen to leak information that their superiors bottled up, perhaps averting the terrorism attacks. October 15, 2010|By Coleen Rowley and Bogdan Dzakovic If WikiLeaks had been around in 2001, could the events of 9/11 have been prevented? The idea is worth considering.
The organization has drawn both high praise and searing criticism for its mission of publishing leaked documents without revealing their source, but we suspect the world hasn't yet fully seen its potential. Let us explain.
There were a lot of us in the run-up to Sept. 11 who had seen warning signs that something devastating might be in the planning stages. But we worked for ossified bureaucracies incapable of acting quickly and decisively. Lately, the two of us have been wondering how things might have been different if there had been a quick, confidential way to get information out.
One of us, Coleen Rowley, was a special agent/legal counsel at the FBI's Minneapolis division and worked closely with those who arrested would-be terrorist Zacarias Moussaoui on an immigration violation less than a month before the World Trade Center was destroyed.
Following up on a tip from flight school instructors who had become suspicious of the French Moroccan who claimed to want to fly a jet as an "ego boost," Special Agent Harry Samit and an INS colleague had detained Moussaoui. A foreign intelligence service promptly reported that he had connections with a foreign terrorist group, but FBI officials in Washington inexplicably turned down Samit's request for authority to search Moussaoui's laptop computer and personal effects.
Those same officials stonewalled Samit's supervisor, who pleaded with them in late August 2001 that he was "trying to keep someone from taking a plane and crashing into the World Trade Center." (Yes, he was that explicit.) Later, testifying at Moussaoui's trial, Samit testified that he believed the behavior of his FBI superiors in Washington constituted "criminal negligence."
The 9/11 Commission ultimately concluded that Moussaoui was most likely being primed as a Sept. 11 replacement pilot and that the hijackers probably would have postponed their strike if information about his arrest had been announced.
WikiLeaks might have provided a pressure valve for those agents who were terribly worried about what might happen and frustrated by their superiors' seeming indifference. They were indeed stuck in a perplexing, no-win ethical dilemma as time ticked away. Their bosses issued continual warnings against "talking to the media" and frowned on whistle-blowing, yet the agents felt a strong need to protect the public.
Moore's statement to the court:
December 14th, 2010 2:58 AM WITNESS STATEMENT OF MICHAEL MOORE WITNESS STATEMENT
(CJ Act 1967, s.9 MC Act 1980, ss.5A(3)(a) and 5B;
This statement (consisting of 2 pages each signed by me) is true to the best of my knowledge and belief and I make it knowing that, if it is tendered in evidence, I shall be liable to prosecution if I have wilfully stated anything which I know to be false or do not believe to be true.
I, MICHAEL MOORE, care of Finers Stephens Innocent, 179 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5LS make this statement and say as follows:
1. I am a filmmaker, author and political commentator and I produce as my exhibit [MM/1] evidence of my identity in the form of a photocopy of my passport/driving licence. I am an American citizen.
2. I am aware of the various allegations Julian Assange faces in Sweden. I am willing to act as security for Julian in the sum of twenty thousand dollars USD$20,000.
3. I am the director and producer of Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11, Sicko, and Capitalism: A Love Story, four of the top nine highest-grossing documentaries of all time. In September 2008, I released my first free movie on the Internet, Slacker Uprising, documenting my personal crusade to encourage more Americans to vote in presidential elections. These experiences underpinned my conviction that it is the duty of a free press to probe, and hold government and the powerful to account – and that citizens must be properly informed and have access to information in order to exercise their democratic rights.
4. Governments have always been discomfited by a probing press. With the hollowing out of newsrooms, in large part as a consequence of the new digital world, old media have largely abandoned the territory of investigative journalism.
5. I support Julian, whom I see as a pioneer of free speech, transparent government and the digital revolution in journalism. His commitment to exposing the follies of government and business offers the greater society a chance to protect itself from these follies. Some aren't just follies. Some are crimes. What do we do with someone who informs the authorities -- and in this case it is the free people in a democracy who are the "authorities" -- that a crime has been committed? Do we arrest HIM? Do we try to shut his mouth? Do we hound him, threaten him, track him down and hunt him as if HE is the criminal? He bravely informed the citizenry of what was being done in their name and with their tax monies. That is no crime. That is an act of patriotism. He should be thanked and honored, not abused and jailed. It dishonours this court to be used in this way, holding this man without bail. Julian has made the world, and my country in particular, a safer place. His actions with WikiLeaks have put on notice those who would take us to war based on lies that any future attempts to do so will be met by the fierce bright light provided by WikiLeaks and intended to expose those who commit their war crimes. His actions will make them think twice next time -- and for that we all owe him a debt of gratitude.
6. I believe that Julian takes pride in his reputation and as any journalist would understands that if he were to abscond he would ruin his reputation in the media and journalism industries.
7. I regret that I am out of the country and therefore I am unable to attend court and explain in person that I expect Julian to observe his bail conditions. I am offering to stand and provide security for him abiding by his bail conditions to the value of USD$20,000.
8. I understand that by acting as security for Julian I risk forfeiture of the aforementioned sum to the crown if he breaches his bail conditions by absconding or by not attending Court as and when required.
9. The money which I will pay to the Court, to be held as security, is my own. As I am abroad I am unable to produce any statement as evidence of these funds. However I have already transferred the sum of USD$20,000 into the client account of FSI.
10. I have not been indemnified against the loss of this money in the event of Julian breaching his bail conditions, and understand that if I were to be so indemnified it would amount to a separate criminal offence for which I could be imprisoned.
11. I have been advised by Julian’s solicitors that it would be prudent to obtain independent legal advice in relation to my liabilities as security.
JULIAN ASSANGE --JAILED OVER CONDOM ISSUES,EASY PREY FOR EXTRADITION TO THE U.S.A.
WIKILEAKS' FOUNDER IS IN JAIL IN LONDON OVER A CONDOMS USAGE ISSUE--NO, IT WASN'T RAPE, AS REPORTED SHAMELESSLY BY THE PRESS FOR MONTHS. A PAIR OF CONNIVING HONEYPOTS CAUGHT HIM, WHOSE LINKS TO U.S. GOVERNMENT AGENCIES ARE TRACEABLE. WHAT WILL SWEDEN DO WITH ASSANGE? HAND HIM OVER TO THE U.S. AS A 'TRAITOR'? THE MEDIA ALSO SHAMELESSLY STATED THAT A MANHUNT WAS ON FOR ASSANGE, WHEN EVERYBODY OVER HERE IN EUROPE KNEW EXACTLY WHERE HE WAS LOCATED. A LIE--THAT HE WAS IN HIDING!--RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR EYES! THE MEDIA IS SO PREJUDICED THAT MY BOOK, ME & LEE: HOW I CAME TO KNOW,LOVE AND LOSE LEE HARVEY OSWALD -- A USEFUL KEY TO UNDERSTANDING THE KENNEDY ASSASSINATION AND HOW OUR GOVERNMENT WAS ILLEGALLY OVERWHELMED IN A COUP D'ETAT-- WILL PROBABLY NEVER RECEIVE AN HONEST MAINSTREAM REVIEW. HOW COULD IT?
MEDIA BIAS -- FAILING TO SPEAK THE TRUTH DUE TO GOVERNMENT AND MONETARY PRESSURES --HAS HELPED DESTROY MY BELOVED COUNTRY. I NOTICE THAT CNN CALLS ITS NEWS SEGMENTS "THE SHOW." THE NEWS USED TO BE CALLED "A PROGRAM." NOT A "SHOW." THINK ABOUT THAT.
ASSANGE IS BEING PILLORIED FOR PROVIDING AN OUTLET FOR WHISTLEBLOWERS. AN OUTLET THAT WOULD NOT BE NECESSARY IF WE HAD A FREE PRESS. BUT WE DON'T: THE PRESS IS OWNED BY A FEW COMPANIES WITH VESTED INTERESTS IN KEEPING SECRETS.
SECRECY IS THE STUFF OF WARS, MY PEOPLE.
WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH SECRECY TO DESTROY AMERICA AND COUNTLESS INNOCENT PEOPLE ELSEWHERE OVER THE PAST DECADE.
WE HAVE SEEN THE EROSION OF FREEDOM, HUMAN RIGHTS, AND OF AMERICAN VALUES. OUR LEADERS IN BOTH 'PARTIES' HAVE BETRAYED OUR COUNTRY AND OUR GOD-GIVEN AMERICAN PRINCIPLES. THEY HAVE GROWN WEALTHY AS WE HAVE SUFFERED.
I WILL NEVER FORGET TALKING TO A POOR COUPLE IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA, WHO WERE SITTING ON THEIR PORCH STEPS, EXHAUSTED AFTER BOTH HAD PUT IN 12-HOUR WORKDAYS. THEY SADLY TOLD ME THEY WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO AFFORD TO HAVE A CHILD. THEY COULDN'T EVEN GET HEALTH INSURANCE. IF AMERICA'S EMPLOYERS WERE NOT ALLOWED TO FORCE THEIR EMPLOYEES TO WORK OVERTIME, MILLIONS OF JOBS WOULD ONCE MORE BE OPEN TO THE PEOPLE.
OF COURSE, WE WOULD ALSO HAVE TO START MANUFACTURING GOODS AGAIN, AND TAXING IMPORTS FROM CHINA AND INDIA THAT INSURE MORE MONEY FLOWS OUT OF AMERICA THAN ENTERS IT.
THE GOOD, HARD-WORKING PEOPLE OF AMERICA DESERVE RESPECT,JOBS, SOCIAL SECURITY, HEALTH CARE EQUAL TO WHAT THEIR CONGRESSMEN GET--AND ABOVE ALL--THEY DESERVE TO KNOW THE TRUTH, WHICH SEEMS ONLY COMES TO THEM THROUGH SUCH SOURCES AS WIKILEAKS.
THERE ARE FEW IN GOVERNMENT WHO "TELL IT LIKE IT IS" --BUT ONE SUCH PERSON IS RON PAUL.
RON PAUL HAS THE COURAGE TO APPLAUD WHISTLEBLOWERS. HE ASKED, WHY SHOULD A WHISTLEBLOWER BE LOCKED UP FOR TELLING THE TRUTH?
RON PAUL COMES FROM HOUSTON, TEXAS--A DOCTOR WHO DECIDED TO BECOME AN ACTIVE PATRIOT --AND I VOTED FOR HIM MANY TIMES WHEN I LIVED IN HOUSTON.
HE DESERVES THE ACCLAIM HE HAS RECEIVED FOR HIS COURAGE AND INTEGRITY.
HERE'S RON PAUL'S STATEMENTS ABOUT WIKILEAKS, WHICH I THOROUGHLY APPLAUD:
"THE CHAOS [IN AFGHANISTAN] IS BECAUSE WE'RE THERE--" HE SAYS. "IT'LL STOP WHEN WE MARCH OUT." "AMERICA IS NOT ABOUT AGGRESSION..."
THE INTERNET IS FILLED WITH PEOPLE USING THE SAME WORDS-- "FED UP!" -- TO DESCRIBE THEIR ANGER AND PAIN AT GOVERNMENT CORRUPTION AND FAKERY.
MORE AND MORE, BLOGS ARE CARRYING THOSE TWO WORDS, CRYING OUT THEIR PAIN.
THE PEOPLE CRY OUT, BUT OUR CORRUPT POLITICIANS ARE IGNORING THEM.
HOW DARE "TAX CUTS" BE EXTENDED TO THE VERY RICH, UNDER THE GUISE OF "THEY WILL CREATE MORE JOBS BECAUSE THEY'LL HAVE MORE MONEY TO DO SO"!
THEY HAVE SENT AMERICAN JOBS OVERSEAS WHERE CHEAPER LABOR GIVES THEM MORE MONEY.
THEY HAVE FILLED THEIR POCKETS WITH FREE HEALTHCARE, WHILE STRIPPING THE SAME HEALTHCARE BENEFITS FROM THE PEOPLE.
THEY HAVE "BAILED OUT" BANKS FILLED WITH CORRUPTION AND FAT ON DEREGULATION, WHILE IGNORING MILLIONS OF GOOD AMERICANS WHO ARE LOSING THEIR HOMES TO THOSE SAME BANKS.
THEY WAGE WARS FOR PROFIT, SPILLING THE BLOOD OF OUR PRECIOUS TROOPS AND CREATING ENEMIES WHO HATE US.
THE PEOPLE CRY OUT AGAINST THESE ATROCITIES AND THE POLITICIANS WHO VOTE THEMSELVES RAISES, TAKE BRIBES FROM LOBBYISTS, AND WHO ARE ALLOWED TO RECEIVE ENDLESS PAYMENTS FROM BIG COMPANIES TO DO THEIR BIDDING.
FedUpUSA.org DEFINES WHAT'S HAPPENED TO US, THROUGH A MASS OF CORRUPT ACTIONS THAT ARE ALMOST UNBELIEVABLE:
Are The Federal Reserve’s Crimes Too Big To Comprehend?
Just when I thought the banksters couldn’t possibly shock me anymore… they did. We were finally granted the honor and privilege of finding out the specifics, a limited one-time Federal Reserve view, of a secret taxpayer funded “backdoor bailout” by a small group of unelected bankers. This data release reveals “emergency lending programs” that doled out $12.3 TRILLION in taxpayer money – $3.3 trillion in liquidity, $9 trillion in “other financial arrangements.”
Wait, what? Did you say $12.3 TRILLION tax dollars were thrown around in secrecy by unelected bankers… and Congress didn’t know any of the details? Yes. The Founding Fathers are rolling over in their graves. The original copy of the Constitution spontaneously burst into flames. The ghost of Tom Paine went running, stark raving mad screaming through the halls of Congress. The Federal Reserve was secretly throwing around our money in unprecedented fashion, and it wasn’t just to the usual suspects like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Citigroup, Bank of America, etc.; it was to the entire Global Banking Cartel. To central banks throughout the world: Australia, Denmark, Japan, Mexico, Norway, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, England… To the Fed’s foreign primary dealers like Credit Suisse (Switzerland), Deutsche Bank (Germany), Royal Bank of Scotland (U.K.), Barclays (U.K.), BNP Paribas (France)… All their Ponzi players were “gifted.” All the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations got their cut. Talk about the ransacking and burning of Rome! Sayonara American middle class… If you still had any question as to whether or not the United States is now the world’s preeminent banana republic, the final verdict was just delivered and the decision was unanimous. The ayes have it. Any fairytale notions that we are living in a nation built on the rule of law and of the global economy being based on free market principles has now been exposed as just that, a fairytale. This moment is equivalent to everyone in Vatican City being told, by the Pope, that God is dead. I’ve been arguing for years that the market is rigged and that the major Wall Street firms are elaborate Ponzi schemes, as have many other people who built their beliefs on rational thought, reasoned logic and evidence. We already came to this conclusion by doing the research and connecting the dots. But now, even our strongest skeptics and the most ardent Wall Street supporters have it all laid out in front of them, on FEDERAL RESERVE SPREADSHEETS. Even the Financial Times, which named Lloyd Blankfein its 2009 person of the year, reacted by reporting this: “The initial reactions were shock at the breadth of lending, particularly to foreign firms. But the details paint a bleaker and even more disturbing picture.”
Yes, the emperor doesn’t have any clothes. God is, indeed, dead. But, for the moment at least, the illusion continues to hold power. How is this possible? To start with, as always, the US television “news” media (propaganda) networks just glossed over the whole thing – nothing to see here, just move along, back after a message from our sponsors… Other than that obvious reason, I’ve come to the realization that the Federal Reserve’s crimes are so big, so huge in scale, it is very hard for people to even wrap their head around it and comprehend what has happened here. Think about it. In just this one peek we got at its operations, we learned that the Fed doled out $12.3 trillion in near-zero interest loans, without Congressional input. The audacity and absurdity of it all is mind boggling… Based on many conversations I’ve had with people, it seems that the average person doesn’t comprehend how much a trillion dollars is, let alone 12.3 trillion. You might as well just say 12.3 gazillion, because people don’t grasp a number that large, nor do they understand what would be possible if that money was used in other ways. Can you imagine what we could do to restructure society with $12.3 trillion? Think about that… People also can’t grasp the colossal crime committed because they keep hearing the word “loans.” People think of the loans they get. You borrow money, you pay it back with interest, no big deal. That’s not what happened here. The Fed doled out $12.3 trillion in near-zero interest loans, using the American people as collateral, demanding nothing in return, other than a bunch of toxic assets in some cases. They only gave this money to a select group of insiders, at a time when very few had any money because all these same insiders and speculators crashed the system. Do you get that? The very people most responsible for crashing the system, were then rewarded with trillions of our dollars. This gave that select group of insiders unlimited power to seize control of assets and have unprecedented leverage over almost everything within their economies – crony capitalism on steroids.
This was a hostile world takeover orchestrated through economic attacks by a very small group of unelected global bankers. They paralyzed the system, then were given the power to recreate it according to their own desires. No free market, no democracy of any kind. All done in secrecy. In the process, they gave themselves all-time record-breaking bonuses and impoverished tens of millions of people – they have put into motion a system that will inevitably collapse again and utterly destroy the very existence of what is left of an economic middle class. That is not hyperbole. That is what happened. We are talking about trillions of dollars secretly pumped into global banks, handpicked by a small select group of bankers themselves. All for the benefit of those bankers, and at the expense of everyone else. People can’t even comprehend what that means and the severe consequences that it entails, which we have only just begun to experience. Let me sum it up for you: The American Dream is O-V-E-R. Welcome to the neo-feudal-fascist state. People throughout the world who keep using the dollar are either A) Part of the scam; B) Oblivious to reality; C) Believe that US military power will be able to maintain the value of an otherwise worthless currency; D) All of the above. No matter which way you look at it, we are all in serious trouble! If you are an elected official, (I know at least 17 of you subscribe to my newsletter) and you believe in the oath you took upon taking office, you must immediately demand a full audit of the Federal Reserve and have Ben Bernanke and the entire Federal Reserve Board detained. If you are not going to do that, you deserve to have the words “Irrelevant Puppet” tattooed across your forehead. Yes, those are obviously strong words, but they are the truth.
The Global Banking Cartel has now been so blatantly exposed, you cannot possibly get away with pretending that we live in a nation of law based on the Constitution. The jig is up. It’s been over two years now; does anyone still seriously not understand why we are in this crisis? Our economy has been looted and burnt to the ground due to the strategic, deliberate decisions made by a small group of unelected global bankers at the Federal Reserve. Do people really not get the connection here? I mean, H.E.L.L.O. Our country is run by an unelected Global Banking Cartel.

THE PEOPLE CRY OUT--AND BELOW ARE SOME OF THEIR MESSAGES, SKIMMED FROM ACROSS THE INTERNET.
READ THESE MESSAGES -- AND CRY FOR OUR COUNTRY.
YouknowI'mright
My generation will be working ourselves to death, and when we can't work anymore I guess we'll be taken out and shot like an old swaybacked horse, and our flesh will be fed to McDonalds beef cows or used as fertilizer at Monsanto's Geneti-farms
--
No wonder some people go underground disappearing from the face of earth with no track records earning their $$$ underground because the government CANNOT be trusted. A broken system = broken trust.
---
didn't want to take my social security at 62 but had no choice due to unemployment. I have been looking for a job for a year and a half. I'm not one of those who fake it - I really look and network and nothing yet. Raising the $14,161.00 ceiling somewhat higher would help and if you find a full time job you can suspend your social security benefits. The only problem with that is if you do then go back to apply will it be there? These are times of major insecurity and we all are puppets and the politician fat cats don't give a crap what happens as long as they are elected and re-elected. We have GOT to start making better choices of who represents us. God Bless America!
----
The Republicans and conservative parts are the servants of business (oil, coal, banks, etc) and they never cared about us. Getting rid of lobbyists would be a start and every member of the government is only allowed to accept their pay as an elected official. They can never receive any form of compensation ever, including gifts, jobs, etc to their families for 5 generation out, and 6 generation following. All compensation from companies and lobbyists to be given to the SS system to help boost it. Then all of the money "borrowed" by the government from SS has to be put back into SS with 10 % interest...

what i have a problem with is all the money that congess has robbed from the system, by borrowing the money and never paying it back. then to add insult to injury, they have totally depleted the fund and then transferred all payments to the general fund to pay for other things not even remotely close to the true reason of our retirement funding. what i want is for congress to pay back every dime with interest that was removed in all the past years. then pass legislation to ban, by penalty, to never touch these funds again. it was never intended to be used or violated as has been done. there should never be anything new added to this fund that rubs from it, and if any changes are sought by anyone, make it manditory to be placed on a special ballot that only those paying into it are allowed to vote on. this should totally eliminate any further messing with the system; and add one more thing to the law: anyone robbing from s.s. will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. chuck

Bernanke is working for a private corporation. Why is the depression systemic? Why are Americans out of work while the Federal Reserve funnels money to European interests?
What if you could see into the Matrix? Watch 'Secret of Oz,' 'Money as Debt,' and 'Creature from Jekyll Island' documentaries on youtube.
There is hope, especially here in America. History has shown that America has fought to create it’s own money for the last 300 years. In fact, in no other nation on earth has the population fought for it as successfully and with such determination over the centuries as America. All we need in the face of this oncoming first depression of the 21st century is a little education. We can make this the new civil rights movement – the new human rights movement. The big bankers now stand more exposed than ever before. Let’s use history to guide our path today.

They promise you benefits and steal your wages, then they give you change. What a bunch of weasels. They can keep their change. This kind of deal is the reason the economy will never recover. Mistrust of government does not produce prosperity.
==== John The attack on SS has begun. Repubs will hand 700 Billion to the elite and use SS to 'pay' for it. The US is done.

just remember that the government continues to pick the meat from your bones until their is nothing left.
